1. A software is a collection of programs that is stored and run on the computer hardware and

help the users to work on the computer.

2. Defragmentation of a disk means rearranging and consolidating data into one contiguous

individuals. Hence, it is essential to have a regular data backup from time-to-time.

4. An operating system is a system software. It acts as a link between the user and hardware,

6. Language processors are used to convert high-level language programs into low-level

and compiler.

7. System software is a type of program installed to control the operations of a computer

system and run the application programs. Whereas, application software is installed as per

the requirements of the user.

To start a presentation using a template are as follows-

and select a bullet.


3. The WordArt feature helps us to create decorative text. 

To insert WordArt in a slide, follow these steps -  

i. Click on the WordArt option in the Text group on the Insert tab. 

ii. Select a style, and type text.

4. To insert a shape, click on the Shapes option in the Illustrations group on the Insert tab

and select a shape.

5. Two types of alignments are Vertical and Horizontal. 

Vertical alignments are used to align the text vertically in a placeholder whereas horizontal alignments are used to align the text horizontally in a placeholder.

6. To insert a picture in presentation if it is available on our computer, follow these steps - 

i. Click on the Insert tab. 

ii. In the Images group, click on the Pictures option.

iii. Select the This Device option. The Insert Pictures dialog box appears. 

iv. Select the desired picture and click on Insert.
